Labs and extracurricular activities
To complement and extend the learning experience beyond the classroom, we offer a variety of labs and extracurricular activities for students of all ages, from early years 5 onwards.
To complement and extend the learning experience beyond the classroom, we offer a variety of labs and extracurricular activities for students of all ages, from early years 5 onwards. These enrichment activities help students to develop new skills, discover new interests and hobbies, and learn to socialize in a different setting.
Arts and crafts, sports, robotics and more
We have clubs every day after school hours, with a wide range of options depending on the age group, from book club and school band to robotics, arts and crafts and study groups in both English and Portuguese. We offer soccer from age 3, plus ballet, capoeira, judo, and circus skills for our elementary school students. Older students can join the ECJ teams in volleyball, soccer, and basketball.
Special events
In addition to our regular activities, we organize celebrations throughout the year such as Carnival, Halloween, St. Patrick’s Day, and more. We also take part in the annual Cognita Be Well day in September, where the school suspends the regular curriculum for one day to focus instead on wellbeing activities.
