ECJ | PlayPen was founded in 1981 in Cidade Jardim, São Paulo.

ECJ | PlayPen offers an international, bilingual education for children aged 16 months to 18 years. We have a unique double curriculum offering Portuguese and English immersion. The Portuguese curriculum is built upon the guidelines of the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC), while the English curriculum follows international best practices.  The bond with the teacher and classmates is the catalyst for student progress and that is why our individualized attention coupled with a social interactionist perspective facilitates learning that transforms into knowledge.

We teach in English and Portuguese immersion plus Spanish from 4th grade onwards.

Where a disability and/or learning difficulty has been declared, ECJ | PlayPen will aim to accommodate every need but may require additional time to prepare the school and teaching professionals. Disability and/or learning difficulty will not have a bearing on the admission decision. For more information, read our inclusion policy.
